Interconnected Model of Well Being

Interconnected Model of Well Being

I’m noticing this trend when health experts are now talking about mental health, which is deserving its spotlight but treating it as a separate entity from physical health, cardiovascular health, metabolic health, etc. Your mental health won’t improve if you aren’t moving and sweating. So by focusing only on mental health, we are already setting us up for failure.

There is a big difference  when you eat McDonald’s after a long 12 hour work day stuffing your face in couple minutes vs eating that same McDonald’s meal with a group of friends laughing and enjoying each other’s company in a matter of 2 hours.

What we really need is big shift in perspective. We should be looking at the bigger picture first and then zooming in on each piece of the puzzle to spot what’s lacking and what’s going into overdrive. So, let me introduce you to a concept I created called the 'Interconnected Model of Well Being.' This model is comprised of four areas: internal body, external body, internal mind, and external mind. It's a roadmap that makes evaluating your life more simple.
